The story behind the design
Our Sakura Bowl started as a simple idea: a small bowl inspired by the elegance of Japanese cherry blossoms but with a modern, functional twist. We wanted it to be a beautiful piece that could sit on any table, ready for soy sauce, dips, or just as a decorative touch. Here’s how we brought it from concept to reality.
For us, the sakura flower isn’t just about its beauty; it’s about capturing a shape that’s both organic and iconic. We wanted something that feels fresh but still nods to Japanese design roots. The rounded, petal-like edges give the bowl a natural flow, making it feel almost like it’s blooming on the table.

Using 3D modeling, we created digital prototypes that allowed us to refine every curve and angle. This step let us make sure the bowl wouldn’t just look good, but also be practical for everyday use. After a lot of tweaking, we got it right: a bowl that’s visually interesting and just the right size for serving sauces, snacks, or anything that could use a little extra style.

The Sakura Bowl isn’t a typical handmade ceramic—it’s crafted with 3D printing technology. After printing, each bowl is hand-painted, giving it a unique finish that combines modern tech with an artisanal touch.
The bowls are then kiln-fired and glazed with a food-safe coating to give them that smooth, polished look.
So, while we’re all about modern design, we also wanted each piece to have a bit of character, something that makes it feel one-of-a-kind. Its compact size (10 cm in diameter, 5 cm in height) makes it perfect for soy sauce if you’re having a sushi night, for serving small bites, or even just as a decorative piece and the petal-like edges give it a bit of personality that’s bound to start conversations.
